- Abstract
The article discusses the Black America Today study released by Radio One Inc. Accordingly, research firm Yankelovich conducted the study to 3,400 African Americans whose age ranges from 13 to 74 wherein 54% were optimistic on their future. In addition, the author notes that 42% of respondents prefer to be called Black and 44% opted for African American. It also cites the segmentation and group identity of Black Americans, including digital networkers, boomer blacks, and new middle class.
