- Abstract
The article analyzes the poem "Spring and All" by William Carlos Williams. It discusses quietness as a possible theme as well as seasonal changes. Particular attention is given to the influence of scholar George Burman Foster's analysis of philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche and his thoughts on noise and the connotations of silence on Williams' poem.
