- Authors
Blaylock, Joshua M.
- Abstract
The article presents an analysis of treaties by Andreas Capellanus and Baldassare Castiglione that pinpoint the moments that directly confronts secrecy as a part of the courtly aesthetic. It looks into the seventieth Marguerite de Navarre's novella "Heptameron" as a case study of the ways of secrecy within the genre of the novella. It examines the exploration of the novella following each triangulation of secrecy as it will explore ways that negotiate the landscape of love and secrets.
