- Title
Pyroxenite-Based Ceramic Pigment.
- Authors

- Abstract
A composition of a ceramic pigment has been developed using pyroxenite, including pyroxene minerals — augite and enstatite—with forsterite, serpentine and coloring oxides of iron and chromium being present. The compositions of the crystalline phases in pigments were investigated by means of XPAand microanalysis as a function of the firing temperature. A ceramic pigment with diopside structure makes it possible to obtain a brown coating when using the pigment in a wide range of firing temperatures 850 – 1250°C, excluding melting of the pigment while improving the purity of tone and brightness of the coating.
