- Abstract
This article compares the use of two different imaging techniques, [68Ga]Ga-FAPI PET/CT and [18F]FDG PET/CT, in the evaluation of Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH). The study focuses on a 37-year-old woman with LCH who underwent both imaging techniques to assess the extent of the disease and organ involvement. The results showed that [68Ga]Ga-FAPI PET/CT was more effective in detecting certain lesions, such as cutaneous and oral lesions, as well as liver involvement, compared to [18F]FDG PET/CT. The authors suggest that further research is needed to determine the role of [68Ga]Ga-FAPI PET/CT in managing LCH.
