- Abstract
The article evaluates the reliability of Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) tape recorded and booklet administrations. This study examined test-retest reliability as a function of race and administration format, and assessed the reliability of a condensed tape that was identical to the standard MMPI tape, except that the second reading of each question was omitted. The use of a tape recorded MMPI format, with either a double or a single reading of each question was found to be an appropriate alternative to a booklet administration for both Black and White subjects.
