- Abstract
The article presents a study that assesses the relationship of the House-Tree-Person (H-T-P) drawing technique to a sociometric survey of the popularity of children within a primary grade class in school. A sociometric questionnaire (used as a measure of personal popularity) and the H-T-P Test were administered to 32 white children in a primary grade in a public elementary school situated in suburban Long island community. It was found that the overall I-T-P drawing scores showed a correlation of .271 with the sociometric evaluation, not significant at the .05 level of confidence.
