- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 63-year-old woman who presented to the emergency department after being found collapsed at home. She had a history of type 2 diabetes mellitus treated with canagliflozin, a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor. The treatment of ketoacidosis centers on fluid resuscitation, insulin, and glucose administration to reduce the glucagon–insulin ratio, cessation of SGLT2 inhibitor administration, and correction of electrolyte derangements.
