- Abstract
Unlike the Letters courses, whose curricula the language is the fundamental object of teaching, in the Pedagogy courses, we find unprepared students, already in moments of supervised internship activities, who know little about the theoretical principles addressing main linguistic issues. How, in such situation, to guide them towards an effective professional exercise which aims to form proficient people in the competences and abilities also in the area of languages? Thus, the objective of this work is therefore to reflect on how the curricula of the Pedagogy courses from Federal University of Paraiba address the issue of language teaching, to identify gaps and to propose some possible solutions in the light of the sociointeractionists theoretical assumptions.
