- Abstract
he article presents information on the role of air humidity in triggering tree phenology. In the study, a climate chamber experiment was set up with two different relative air humidities, and freshly cut dormant twigs of nine different tree species were put therein. The study indicated that trees can sense and react to air humidity, and winter chilling could be related to tissue moisture of trees.
