- Abstract
This article presents a series of results from the study characterizing migrant population treated in PRISMA Mental Health Program for Migrants, Asylum Seekers and Refugees. Information gathered, reflects the subjective experience of patients regarding their therapeutic process. Research design combined cuantitative and cualitative methods, organized in consecutive analytic phases. A descriptive statistical analysis implemented during the cuantitative phase, results in sociodemographic and clinical data. The outcome of various phenomena by means of Grounded Theory in the cualitative phase, revealed the intersubjective encounter of intercultural negociation. This phenomenon drives action for reciprocal negotiation of personal, cultural, social and contextual contents by raising the importance of cultural difference between therapist/professional and patient subjectivities throughout their encounter.
