- Abstract
A study published in the Journal of Multidisciplinary Healthcare examines the motivation of medical staff providing home-based medical care services in Beijing, China. The study found that institutional support plays a crucial role in motivating healthcare professionals. Factors such as gender, position, job type, job title, and years of experience were significantly associated with the provision of home medical care services. However, the study has limitations, including reliance on self-reporting by medical staff and a cross-sectional design. The authors recommend conducting longitudinal studies, exploring patient perspectives, and developing tailored training programs to improve the provision of home-based medical care services. Despite these limitations, the study's findings provide valuable insights for policymakers, healthcare institutions, and researchers to enhance healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
