- Abstract
One of contemporary-school teaching's priorities is helping students to become autonomous agents regarding their learning's management. The teacher's role should be that of a facilitator and counselor supporting students' learning and providing the tools they require to learn how to arrange and direct their own learning processes and activities. According to this, teaching of cognitive and metacognitive strategies means an alternative to enhance learning processes, mainly those of students with learning disabilities like children with attention deficit. Historical-cultural theory brings concepts allowing an approach to pedagogical practices as powerful facilitation-tools for self-regulation skills development processes in both children with sustained-attention deficit and students in general.
