- Abstract
The article focuses on a study conducted to analyze the role of the drug nifepidine in complicated preterm labor on perinatal outcomes and also discusses the methods to maintain tocolysis. A randomized placebo controlled trial was conducted in perinatal medical care units in the Netherlands from June 2008 to February 2010. According to the results, in patients suffering with preterm labor with life threatening complications nifepidine was not effective in decreasing the risks reduction when compared with placebo.
