- Abstract
The article discusses the feasibility and consequences of protected sleep period in medical students during their stay for in-patients service for extended overnight duty hours. It highlights that implementation of protected sleep period in medical interns helped to increase overnight sleep duration as well as improved alertness in the next morning to serve various medical emergencies.
