- Abstract
Data pertaining to the present study were collected from records spreading over nine generations i.e. 1994-95 to 2002-03 for the performance traits of purebreds of two strains (H and C) of White Leghorn reared at CCS Haryana Agriculture Univ. Hisar (Haryana). The genetic correlation between purebred and crossbred half-sib's performance (rpc) was low to medium for all the traits, however the influence of non-additive gene action was more for egg production upto 40 weeks of age. The changes in magnitude of correlation for traits under study were erratic and it might be due to small and unequal number of purebred and crossbred progeny of a sire.
