- Title
The economic impact of the introduction of Employment and Support Allowance.
- Authors
Franco, Alan
- Abstract
The author offers his views on the economic impact of the introduction of Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) in Great Britain. He believes that the government's target of reducing the number of incapacity claimants by 1 million by 2015 would still leave 1.64 million claimants mainly reliant on government assistance to pay for the essentials in life such as food, fuel and clothing.
