- Title
La Tunisie : d'une destination du tourisme de masse aux challenges de lancement des destinations par les territoires.

- Abstract
Tunisia, known as a mass tourism destination, has shown little resilience in the face of crises. Thus, in relation to the change in demand, which has become more sensitive to the authenticity of places, we are witnessing challenges in the launch of destinations in the territories. To this end, a new tourism development paradigm is being challenged, namely the DMOs, which are emerging as new governance structures that enable tourism development in the territory: in terms of marketing and management. Destination Dahar" is proving to be a pioneering experiment in developing sustainable tourism in an authentic region in the interior of Tunisia. On the other hand, "Destination Djerba" represents a challenge to relaunch a new image for an area of mass seaside tourism at the end of its cycle. These two initiatives are being driven by local players and supported by foreign international cooperation bodies.
