- Abstract
The article focuses on the argument regarding the elimination of guardians ad litem (GAL) and court-appointed parenting coordinators to litigated child custody cases in the U.S. Discussion on the role of GALs, who were allowed to decide in such cases that will in turn bring profound impact to the future of parents and their children, is provided. The argument on why the power placed to such individuals is unwarranted and potentially violates the rights of the litigants is mentioned.
