- Abstract
The article presents the author's views concerning U.S. President Barack Obama and the political culture surrounding the Democratic candidate and his presidential primary campaign. The socioeconomic status and sociodemographics of Carlisle, Pennsylvania are mentioned, as well as the President's rhetorical skill and charisma, the influence of mass media on the public's perception of candidates Obama, Hillary Clinton, and John McCain, and the reasons why President Obama received the support of academia, most of the urban areas in Pennsylvania, and affluent voters.
