- Abstract
The article presents a study which prepared thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer (TLCP) nanocomposites reinforced with carbon nanotube (CNT) by melt compounding at various CNT contents. The thermal stability of TLCP/carboxylated multiwall carbon nanotube (c-MWCNT) nanocomposites increased after adding a small amount of c-MWCNT. It was found that the contents of c-MWCNT have a little effect on the complex viscosity of TLCP/c-MWCNT nanocomposites because of the high-shear thinning of TLCP.
