This work deeply explores the existing links between socio-critical studies and Hispanism, especially regarding Montpellierian sociocritical reflexion as represented by Dr. Edmond Cros. It is proposed that Crosian socio-critical studies have two sides, the abstract-formal theory and the applied theory, both sharing a common origin in Hispanic cultural domains.
