Prasat Chen - The Theatre Temple.
- Abstract
The article offers information on the Prasat Chen temple of Koh Ker, Cambodia, celebrated the cult of Shripati Vishnu in the second quarter of tenth century. It further discusses that the inscriptions of the temple are generally in very bad state of conservation; inscriptions in Sanskrit language; looting of the temple in 1970s and the statues of the monkey god Hanuman at the Cleveland Museum of Art and the archer Rama at the Denver Art Museum originally from the eastern gateway to Prasat Chen.
