- Title
Three Letters to Svetlana Beriosova.
- Authors
Khan, M. Masud R.
- Abstract
The document is a collection of three letters written by M. Masud R. Khan to Svetlana Beriosova. In the first letter, Khan discusses his admiration for Beriosova's dancing and references a passage from Sir Anthony Blunt's book on artistic theory. He also comments on the concept of grace in art and its absence in certain performances. In the second letter, Khan shares a folk story from a book about the experiences of African Americans during slavery. He contrasts the simplicity and directness of these narratives with the convoluted and pseudo-psychological style of Beatnik writers. In the third letter, Khan discusses T.S. Eliot as a nonsense poet and explores the concept of Nonsense literature in various art forms. He also mentions his reading of a biography of James Joyce and reflects on the parallels between Joyce's life and his daughter's mental illness.
