The article offers the author's insights on the economic condition of the stock market in the U.S., wherein the volatility and yields are low. Topics include the decline of the country's consumer confidence, retail spending, and gross domestic product (GDP), a data from research firm Gallup which revealed that 56% of Americans think the economy is getting worse while 38% think the economy is getting better, and the $4 trillion quantitative easing (QE) program of the Federal Reserve.
