- Abstract
The article focuses on the prison concerts in the U.S., which started in 1943 when 16-year-old Johnny Bragg of Tennessee State Prison in Nashville created a vocal group called the Prisonaires. It states that the most famous prison concert was the 1968 Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison concert but Cash stopped prison shows in 1970s of his frustrations in prison reforms. It adds that prison concerts in correctional industry as of 2013 is unthinkable.
