- Abstract
The article focuses on the significant role played by eucalyptus timber in Australian architecture and construction. It asserts that eucalyptus timber is an ideal construction material because of its physical properties including growth, strength, colour range, and grain. It indicates that eucalyptus hardwoods have possibilities for architectural expression and timber frame plays a vital role in the expression of architectural idea. It also claims that the visual patterning of a building can be affected by the expressed timber frame.
