The article reports that British Veterinary Association (BVA) has expressed its concerns to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs regarding stunning parameters for poultry killed as per religious rites in new slaughter regulations in Great Britain. Topics discussed include the evaluation of parameters for the stunning of poultry using electrical waterbaths by the European Food Safety Authority, views of BVA's president Sean Wensley and animal welfare standards.
