The article reports on the spring and fall 2009 conferences of the Sociology of Labor and Industry Section of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Soziologie (DGS), which focused on the impact of the global financial crisis on the labor sector. Topics addressed included financial services and markets and their reorganization in Germany.
