Student evaluations of faculty should be published cautiously.
- Authors

- Abstract
The article focuses on arguments related to publishing of students' evaluations of faculty. Publication of student evaluation may trouble those journalism faculty members who oppose the practice but adamantly support that the public has a right to know what public employees are doing. Same holds true for faculty members who deplore closed meetings by public groups or who rage against secret athletic budgets. Journalism educators must be cautious about publishing evaluation results because of problems related to incomplete data about teachers, inappropriate publication scheme, quality of students.
