This article discusses the different types of technological tools for language education. These include social networking tools as well as applications and games such as the chatterbox, a computer program designed to simulate an intelligent conversation with one or more human users via auditory or textual methods. The fundamental role of a langauge laboratory and the role of teachers in language education are explored.
