Abstract
The author reflects on the growing number of contaminants that are corrupting water supplies, making purification more challenging. He notes that conventional methods for water treatment can address many problems. Some of the newer technologies can introduce harmful contaminants into water supplies like free chlorine. Moreover, the global significance of a clear water supply for future generations should provide inspiration to continue to achieve the important goal.
