- Abstract
The article reports on the criminal and civil claims faced by Nichols Institute Diagnostics (NID), a subsidiary of Quest Dianostics Inc., for selling misbranded diagnostic test and testkits. It notes that NID, with its knowledge, has sold its manufactured assays including the Advantage Intact parathyroid hormone (PTH) assays, which develop incorrect findings. It states that Quest and NID have consented to pay $302 million to resolve the claims such as allegations on the False Claims Act.
