The article reports on the change of Longhorn to White-faced Herefords cattle farming in the Great Plains, U.S. It is reported that beef cattle are a dominant feature in the Great Plains and the Longhorns were used in great numbers to populate the area, while Herefords dominate the cattle industry in the western U.S. In addition, Longhorn was replaced and bred off to a more efficient and more uniform type of beef animal the Hereford.
