- Abstract
The article discusses a study which analyzes the readability of patient information and consent forms used in research studies in anaesthesia in Australia and New Zealand. The study was designed to test the hypothesis that the language used in medical forms fails to meet satisfy the readability standards or requirements of the Good Clinical Practice Guidelines of the National Health and Medical Research Council in Australia and the Health Council of New Zealand.
