- Abstract
The article discusses international choice of law in trademark disputes around the globe, focusing on a tension between law and economics, the impact of the Internet on trademark laws, and the principle of territoriality. Intellectual property laws, the European Commission, and the Trade Related Aspects to Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS Agreement) are mentioned. A comparison of American and European trademark laws is provided, along with several U.S. copyright and patent law cases.
