- Abstract
The article offers poetry criticism of the poem "Christina Rossetti's Questions: Riddles, Catechisms, and Mystery" by Joshua Taft. It tells that poetry need not always be envisioned as a solitary speaker; instead, can be seen how poetry "imagines and formulates potential community," developing ways to move from the lyric "I" to a collective "we"; riddles, are a major source of Rossetti's poetic questions, because of their literary pedigree and because of their affinity with mystery and secrecy.
