The article presents a critique of the 19th-century poem "In Memoriam," by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. Topics addressed include exploration of the theme of repetition, déjà vu, and echoes within the text, particular analysis of various literary features seen in Lyric LIV, XXXVII, and XXXV, and his psychological use of meter.
