- Abstract
The article presents an examination into the aural aspects of the sonnet poetry of Dante Gabriel Rossetti and Christina Rossetti. Comments are given noting the tradition of aesthetic engagement with sound, rhythm and hearing within the realm of poetic criticism and appreciation. Several poems by both writers are examined, including those from the "Willowwood" and "Later Life" cycles. Poetic devices highlighted include repetition, diction and word choice.
