- Abstract
The article discusses the interest group mediation process as a mechanism for controlling and improving congressional lobbying practices in the U.S. It is stated that this process is a combination of existing lobbying practices with two simple legislative mechanisms which can decrease malignant lobbyist activity and improve the quality of public policy. The article also describes the lobbying boom and its negative consequences and the basic idea of interest group mediation.
