Aquaflor approved for furunculosis in salmonids.
- Authors
Schnick, Roz
- Abstract
The article reports that the use of antimicrobial Aquaflor® for control of mortality in freshwater-reared salmonids due to furunculosis has been approved in the U.S. It is believed that such approval will greatly benefit both the commercial salmonid industry and public production of salmonid reared in freshwater. Several organizations were involved in the pivotal and supportive efficacy studies for Aquaflor including the Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center (UMESC).
