- Abstract
The water retaining structure of a project is arranged in a very narrow valley. The dam adopts a double curvature arch dam mixed with magnesium oxide roller compacted concrete. The maximum dam height is 153. 0m, which belongs to an ultra-high arch dam. The dam shape design, dam stability, dam temperature control and joint design calculation are complex and difficult. Accordingly, higher requirements are put forward for the structural design and stress analysis of the dam. The conventional multi arch beam method has some limitations in solving the above problems. The author intends to seek a calculation method that can simulate the dam structure and stress analysis, and the three-dimensional finite element stress analysis and calculation can solve the above problems. The calculation results which are close to reality and more intuitive are obtained. However, in the finite element calculation, the stress concentration phenomenon is difficult to avoid. Through the finite element equivalent stress calculation and correction, the vast majority of the stress concentration phenomenon has been significantly weakened, and its stress limit is within the specified range.
