- Abstract
Problems are considered for creating ceramic matrix composites (CMC) in the system Si 3N 4-SiC f under hot pressing conditions. Results are provided for expert evaluation of physicomechanical properties and study of composite microstructure by electron microscopy and x-ray spectral microanalysis. Comprehensive analysis of microstructure makes it possible to reveal features of its formation within CMC and the behavior of different types of SiC f fibers under conditions of the technology developed. A further increase in the level of CMC properties in this system will be found in creating an interphase layer of optimum composition, controlling fiber and matrix cohesion.
