- Abstract
The probiotic bacterial sp. was isolated from supernatant of homemade curd; on the basis of morphological and biochemical characterization. The antibiosis of bacterial isolate against pathogenic bacteria Aeromonas hydrophila was assessed by agar well diffusion method. The assessment of fish growth was done by feeding bacterial isolate in diet @ 107, 106 and 105 cfu into the fishes. The maximum growth was observed in treatment in which the C. carpio fishes were fed on diet containing bacterial sp. @ 107cfu of feed (3.727gm, 3.9cm) followed by 106 (3.420gm, 3.767cm), 105 (3.167gm, 3.333cm) and control (2.873gm, 3.233cm) after 45 days of study.
