Notopteridae, Mastacemelidae, Cobitidae, Centropomidae, cichilidae, pangacidae Nandidae, Belonidae and Anabantida belong to each species. Among them, Cypriniformes represented maximum numbers of species followed by Siluriformes, Perciformes etc. It was observed that the Ghongha dam has greater fish biodiversity, but some of the species needed to be conserved for ecological point of view.
