- Abstract
The study deals with the integrated control of Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum) in Germany. It is noted that Italian ryegrass is increasingly widespread in Germany and leads to yield losses in winter wheat. Resistance development against various classes of active substances is progressing rapidly, and resistance genes can spread quickly within a population. In order to gain insights into integrated control approaches, field experiments were conducted on practice areas heavily infested with Italian ryegrass. Various factors such as sowing date, soil cultivation, and herbicide strategies were compared. Shifting the sowing date and the use of glyphosate led to a reduction in Italian ryegrass infestation.
