- Title
UNITY AND DIVERSITY IN SOCIALIST LAW.
- Authors
HAZARD, JOHN N.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the aspects of unity and diversity in socialists laws with particular reference to communist-led states. As stated, most of these states except the People's Republic of China, have mowed toward a unity of concept which has made for considerable unification of socialist law. Codes of the republics of the U.S.S.R., vary in only slight degree and appear to have been drafted on a common model even in those sections not regulated specifically by federal law. As between the People's Democracies of Europe and the U.S.S.R. there is greater variation, but a common approach has been preserved. It is concluded that policy makers in the communist-led states are showing a desire for independence and especially in Asia.
