- Abstract
The article offers information on the U.S. presidential election in context with vote equality, reduction in the distortion of the popular vote, and the minimization of the chances of electing a minority president. It further highlights the justification for inflated urban influence in election system and some perspectives for understanding ethnic politics. It evaluates the presidential election methods on the basis of popular votes, electoral college, and proposed reforms for the election nomination. It discusses the relationship of popular vote proportion to electoral vote proportion with republican and democratic presidential candidates.
