- Abstract
This study aims at examining the articles about mathematics education and drama. In this research,, a total of 67 scientific articles written in English or Turkish from 2003 to 2021 were examined by systematic review. The articles are evaluated based on the keywords, research aims, research methodologies, samples/study groups, data collection tools, data analysis methods, learning areas/topics of mathematics, results, and suggestions. According to the descriptive analysis, there are very limited studies about drama in mathematics education and it has been determined that studies aiming at examining the effect of drama on mathematics-related variables have been carried out frequently. The most popular learning area is geometry and measurement and mostly used data collection tools and data analysis methods are among the quantitative approach. Also, the results are mostly referred to in-service and pre-service teachers and the suggestions are mainly made for researchers and policymakers/legislators. Based on the findings of the study, some suggestions were made for teachers, researchers, and policymakers.
