- Abstract
The study presents the information about the ethnomedicinal plant used by Konda Reddis of Eastern Ghats in Alluri Sitarama Raju district, Andhra Pradesh, explored during 2020-2022. The ethnomedicinal information was gathered through semi-structured interviews and interactive sessions with Konda Reddi ethnic community. The data gathered pertain to 19 ailments, afflicting the local people. The medicinal plants collected were documented with vernacular and scientific name of species arranged under families, orders and clades as per APG IV system. Each species was provided with ethnic uses, plant part/s used, mode of administration and ailment. The taxa enumerated belong to 99 Angiosperm species and one fern from 88 genera and 50 families of vascular plants. They were analyzed for growth-forms and plant-part-wise usage.
